Demographics of the IT Community in Paraguay
The survey reveals a clear predominance of the male gender within the IT community in Paraguay, with over 80% of respondents identifying as male. In terms of age distribution, most participants, regardless of gender, fall within the 30 to 39 age range at the time of the survey.
When comparing gender and age, males significantly outnumber females in all age groups. Among men, the most represented age group is 30 to 34 years, while for women, the majority fall between 25 and 29 years of age.
Regarding educational backgrounds, the most represented fields include system analysis, programming, computer engineering, and other related areas. However, in each of these fields, male representation overwhelmingly surpasses female participation, with a gap of 70% to 80% in most cases. In some instances, such as certain professional categories, only male representation is observed, with no notable female participation.
